Front-End Developer – WordPress

About the Role We are looking for a skilled and reliable Front-End Developer with strong WordPress experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building new websites, improving existing websites, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing design and functionality updates based on business requirements. You will work closely with our team to ensure websites are modern, responsive, fast, user-friendly, and aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities • Develop, build, and configure WordPress websites according to company and project requirements. • Maintain, update, and improve existing WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, layouts, and website functionality. • Convert website designs, mockups, or Figma layouts into responsive and high-quality web pages. • Implement new website features, UI improvements, landing pages, and content/layout changes. • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end, WordPress, theme, plugin, and functionality-related issues. • Identify and fix website bugs, compatibility issues, broken layouts, and responsive design problems. • Optimize websites for performance, responsiveness, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility. • Make website improvements, updates, and modifications as reasonably required by the company. • Ensure websites work properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. • Perform website testing and quality checks before and after implementing changes. • Support website migrations, redesigns, integrations, and other development-related tasks when required. • Handle reasonable ad hoc website development, maintenance, and technical support tasks related to the role. • Follow clean, maintainable, and scalable development practices. Required Skills • Strong experience with WordPress website development. • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience working with WordPress themes, plugins, page builders, and customization. • Good understanding of responsive web design. • Experience converting Figma/design files into working websites. • Good understanding of website performance and basic technical SEO. • Ability to troubleshoot and independently resolve website issues. • Familiarity with Git/version control is a plus. • Knowledge of PHP and MySQL/WordPress backend is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of modern UI/UX principles. Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in front-end or WordPress development. • Experience working on business, SaaS, agency, or lead-generation websites. • Experience with website redesigns and migrations. • Experience working with designers, project managers, and remote teams. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
