Head of Product — WordPress, PHP & JavaScript

Independent Golf Reviews is building a bigger independent voice in golf across reviews, video, social and email. We have tested 1,500+ golf products, spent 15+ years testing gear, and built an audience of 150k followers. We’re looking for a Head of Product to own this area: Decide what our site and tools should do next, then build it. WHAT YOU’LL OWN - The website: design, structure, speed and health. - Deciding which systems and tools we need next, from the numbers, not guesses. - Building them: popups, widgets and tools like the club fitting and the buyer’s guides, plus how the site connects to our app. - The roadmap: what gets built, in what order, and why. WHAT GREAT LOOKS LIKE - You don’t wait for instructions. Every month you bring the roadmap. - Every tool you ship makes money or saves time, and you can show which. - You push back when an idea is wrong. YOU’RE A FIT IF - You’ve built and shipped your own products or tools. - You code: WordPress, PHP and JavaScript. - You can take over a custom setup (much of it built with AI) and make it better without starting over. ABOUT YOU You play golf, know the gear, and understand how golfers think. You work independently, move quickly, and bring ideas without waiting for a task list. TO APPLY THROUGH UPWORK What would you change about our website and offers? Include relevant work samples and results that demonstrate what you can do, along with your availability and proposed rate. Keep your proposal short and specific. If you can also own another area of our golf content business, mention it in your proposal.
