Python Django Celery Developer

We are looking for an experienced Python / Django Developer to join the ongoing development of an automation platform. This is a long-term position, not a one-off project. You will work on an existing Django application, improve current workflows, fix bugs, add new features, strengthen test coverage, and help us maintain a clean and reliable codebase. What you will work on You will be responsible for tasks such as improving backend logic, building and maintaining APIs, debugging production issues, extending automation workflows, improving data processing, writing tests, and working with external integrations. The application includes asynchronous workflows, campaign logic, messaging automation, AI-based analysis, LinkedIn integrations, background jobs, and configuration-driven behavior. Tech Stack Operating System: Linux / Ubuntu Containers: Docker Backend: Python Framework: Django 5.1 + Django REST Framework Database: PostgreSQL 15+ SQLite is used in development where appropriate Background Processing: Celery 5.3.4 Broker / Cache: Redis 7.0 Scheduling: Celery Beat Frontend: HTMX + Tailwind CSS External APIs: Unipile / LinkedIn OpenAI Configuration: YAML-based configuration for search criteria, messages, business rules, templates, and workflows Your responsibilities You will: Develop and maintain Django features Fix bugs and investigate root causes Work with Django models, services, views, APIs, and background tasks Build and improve Celery workflows Work with PostgreSQL and optimize queries where necessary Maintain integrations with external APIs Improve existing code without unnecessarily rewriting working components Write unit and integration tests Debug issues using logs, database queries, and application data Work with Docker-based environments Review existing architecture before implementing changes Keep changes focused, maintainable, and production-safe Document important technical decisions where necessary What we are looking for You should have strong practical experience with: Python Django Django REST Framework PostgreSQL Celery Redis Docker Git / GitHub Linux / Ubuntu REST APIs Debugging existing production applications Writing reliable automated tests Experience with HTMX, Tailwind CSS, OpenAI APIs, LinkedIn integrations, or workflow automation is a strong advantage.
