Senior Drupal/PHP Developer Duration: Longterm Start: ASAP About the Role Our client develops and maintains websites and digital platforms for universities, research institutions, and public-sector organizations. We are looking for a Senior Drupal/PHP Developer with several years of hands-on Drupal development experience. In addition to software development, you will communicate directly with our clients, clarify requirements, conduct technical discussions and workshops, and advise them on possible solutions. Important: Several years of practical experience with Drupal and PHP Your Responsibilities Get familiar with existing Drupal projects and customized installations Develop and maintain existing Drupal websites and platforms Develop and extend custom Drupal modules and themes Analyze and resolve technical issues and bugs Estimate development effort and coordinate the next implementation steps Advise clients on technical options, solutions, and potential risks Conduct and participate in code reviews and testing Prepare and support deployments Create rollback plans for changes in case issues occur Document important technical decisions and project knowledge Collaborate closely with Design, UX, Project Management, and external development partners Contribute ideas to improve our development, testing, and team processes Your Profile Mandatory Requirements Strong Drupal & PHP Experience Several years of hands-on experience developing with Drupal and PHP Experience working with customized and existing Drupal installations Ability to provide concrete examples of Drupal projects and clearly describe your own technical contribution General PHP experience or experience with other CMS platforms alone is not sufficient for this position Ability to clearly communicate requirements, technical decisions, and solutions in writing Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Git and Composer Experience with code reviews, testing, and deployments Experience estimating development tasks and effort Ability to make technical decisions independently and explain the reasoning behind them Nice to Have Good English skills for collaboration with international development partners Experience with hosting and deployment infrastructure Experience with automated regression testing Interest in modern AI-assisted development tools ⚠️ Important: Candidates who attach a CV to their application will be prioritized.
