Senior Front-End Developer + UI/UX Designer for Luxury AI Web Platform (Next.js / 3D / Mobile-First)

We are seeking an exceptional front-end developer and UI/UX designer to join an existing technology platform currently under active development. This is not a standard brochure website, WordPress project, or simple landing-page assignment. We are developing a sophisticated, AI-powered, relationship-driven digital platform that combines personalized web experiences, intelligent concierge interaction, dynamic business profiles, curated services, customer journeys, communications, booking/commerce functionality, and immersive visual experiences. Our existing lead developer will continue to own the backend architecture, including APIs, database/data layer, authentication, integrations, platform logic, and server-side functionality. You will own the website front end and work directly with him to connect the experience to the existing platform. Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for: * Front-end architecture and implementation * Page layouts and responsive UI * High-end UI/UX design * Mobile-first customer experiences * Translating detailed specifications and visual concepts into production interfaces * Building reusable front-end components * Connecting the front end to backend APIs supplied by our existing developer * Dynamic customer and partner experiences * Personalized/curated pages based on backend data * Interactive AI/concierge interfaces * Rich animations and transitions * 3D and immersive visual experiences * High-quality image/video integration * Performance optimization * Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility * Accessibility and responsive behavior * Working collaboratively through Git/GitHub and the existing development workflow Technical Environment The existing platform is based around a modern web stack that includes Next.js/React, APIs, authentication, database-driven content, and third-party integrations. Strong candidates should be highly experienced with: * Next.js * React * TypeScript / JavaScript * HTML5 * CSS / modern responsive styling * REST/API integration * Git/GitHub * Responsive/mobile-first development * Component-based front-end architecture Experience with immersive/3D web technologies is highly desirable, including technologies such as: * Three.js * React Three Fiber * WebGL * GSAP or comparable animation technology * Framer Motion or similar interaction/animation libraries You do not need to replace our backend developer. You need to work seamlessly with him. He will own: APIs → Data → Authentication → Integrations → Server-Side Systems You will primarily own: Visual Design → UX/UI → Front-End → Interaction → Animation → 3D/Visual Experience → Client-Side Implementation The two sides must integrate cleanly. Design Standard The visual standard for this project is extremely important. We are looking for an experience closer to premium technology + luxury hospitality + cinematic digital experience than a conventional SaaS dashboard or template website. The interface will incorporate sophisticated imagery, glass/crystal-inspired visual elements, motion, dimensionality, intelligent interfaces, and potentially interactive 3D elements. At the same time, usability must remain excellent. We do not want visual effects that sacrifice: * performance * accessibility * mobile usability * clarity * conversion * responsiveness The best candidate understands how to make an experience feel extraordinary without making it difficult to use. Existing Documentation This is a highly specified project. Extensive design, interaction, platform, application, and website documentation has already been developed. You will not be expected to invent the entire product from scratch. You will receive detailed specifications, visual references, workflows, requirements, and guidance after selection. You must be comfortable working from extensive documentation while also bringing professional judgment to the implementation. Who We Are Looking For You may be a strong fit if you are equally comfortable discussing: Figma and UX one moment—and React components, API responses, responsive breakpoints, animation performance, and Git the next. We strongly prefer someone who can design AND implement rather than someone who only creates mockups that another developer must translate into code. We are looking for a long-term collaborator, not simply someone to design a few screens. The immediate assignment is the website/front-end experience, but successful collaboration could expand considerably as the platform grows.
