Project Title : Technical Validation & Industrialization Advisory for a Barrier-Repair Gel-Cream Cosmetic Formula Project Description I have developed a comprehensive quantitative formula for a high-performance, minimalist barrier-repair gel-cream. The product targets all skin types, including sensitive and reactive skin.The ingredient deck is structurally locked and consists of high-efficacy synergistic blend Actives and Humectants: Niacinamide (DSM PC Grade), D-Panthenol, Allantoin, Beta-Glucan, Centella Asiatica Extract, and a dual-molecular-weight Sodium Hyaluronate blend solubilized in a Glycerin/Propanediol slurry. Emulsifier and Texture: Liquid crystal O/W network (Olivem 1000 + Cetyl Alcohol), structured with an electrolyte-sensitive polymer (Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer or Sclerotium Gum). Emollients & Lipid Phase: Squalane (sugarcane-derived) and Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides. I am looking for an experienced Cosmetic Formulation Chemist or R&D Specialist to review, audit, and validate this technical data sheet (TDS) before transferring it to a contract manufacturer (CDMO). Scope of Work and Deliverables: Formula Technical Audit: Review the current % weights and raw material interactions. Provide a risk analysis on potential stability bottlenecks (specifically regarding polymer-electrolyte compatibility and Niacinamide hydrolysis). Manufacturing Process Review: Validate the proposed step-by-step heating, high-shear emulsification, and cool-down processing instructions to ensure successful scale-up. Preservative and pH Optimization: Advise on the best industrial broad-spectrum preservative system tailored to a target pH of 5.0–5.5 within an airless packaging setup. Testing Strategy Consultation: Briefly outline the testing protocols required to successfully pass the Preservation Challenge Test (NF EN ISO 11930) and accelerated stability studies. Required Expertise : Proven background in Cosmetic Chemistry, Personal Care R&D, or Pharmaceutical Formulation. Deep understanding of liquid crystal emulsifiers, polymeric rheology modifiers, and biomimetic skin-barrier ingredients. Experience in scaling up lab-scale batches to commercial industrial lines. NDA / Confidentiality: A standard mutual NDA will be requested before sharing the complete quantitative master formula.
