Dashboard & Internal Tools Developer — Simple, Visual, Low-Cost Systems We are looking for a practical developer to help us build a series of simple internal dashboards and lightweight operational tools for our business. We do not want to build a large custom software platform. The approach is to start small, build one useful tool at a time, test it with real users, and expand only when required. What We Need First Our first project is a private management dashboard that brings selected information from different existing sources into one clean, visual interface. There will initially be two views: Management View A very simple snapshot of business health — key numbers, forecasts and exceptions requiring attention. Operations View A more detailed view allowing the operating team to investigate and manage the issues behind those numbers. Our users are not highly technical. Simplicity is extremely important. We want someone who can take information coming from spreadsheets, scheduled reports, accounting/business software and other existing sources and turn it into something extremely easy to understand. Our Approach We strongly prefer: * Simple over complicated * Low recurring costs * Existing exports/reports before expensive custom integrations * Automation where it genuinely saves work * Lightweight internal tools rather than large custom applications * Mobile-friendly interfaces * Systems that can grow gradually We are open to Power BI, Looker Studio, Metabase, AppSheet or other suitable tools. We are not committed to a particular technology stack and would like the developer to recommend the simplest sensible approach. If the first project works well, we have several additional internal tools we would like to build gradually, including simple purchasing/inventory workflows, operational reporting, sales reporting and other business automation. Who We're Looking For Ideally you have experience with: * BI dashboards and data visualisation * Google Sheets * Lightweight internal apps * Workflow automation * Excel/CSV data processing * APIs when necessary * Tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Metabase, AppSheet, n8n or Make * Python/data transformation where useful More importantly, we want someone who understands that not every problem requires custom software or a complex integration**.
