Wedding Video Editor Needed – Cinematic 10-Minute Highlight Film (Traditional Kenyan Ruracio) I'm looking for an experienced wedding video editor to create a cinematic highlight film (around 10 minutes, or whatever best tells the story) from footage I will provide. This is not a standard Western wedding. It is a Ruracio, which is a traditional Kenyan wedding/introduction ceremony. I want the final video to reflect the beauty, culture, emotion, and celebration of the day while still feeling like a modern, luxury wedding film. I'm looking for someone who has a strong eye for storytelling and can create a film that feels emotional, elegant, and professionally edited—not just clips placed together with music. Style I'm Looking For I love the look and feel of luxury wedding films. The video should have: Cinematic storytelling from beginning to end Warm, romantic color grading Natural skin tones Smooth pacing Professional transitions (nothing cheesy or overused) Tasteful slow motion where appropriate Creative but natural editing Emotional storytelling that lets important moments breathe I want viewers to feel like they experienced the entire day, from the anticipation before the ceremony to the celebration afterward. Story Flow I'd like the film to generally follow the order of the day: Opening establishing shots Bride getting ready Groom getting ready Ceremony Vows and important moments Portraits Reception and celebration Emotional ending Please organize the footage into a story rather than simply arranging clips in chronological order. Audio One of the most important things to me is the audio. Whenever people are speaking (vows, speeches, prayers, etc.), please lower the music smoothly so their voices can be heard clearly. Keep natural sounds whenever possible, including: Laughter Clapping Applause Singing Church ambience Crowd reactions Other meaningful ambient sounds If guests are singing during the ceremony, I'd love for that to become the main audio instead of the background music. Music Please use only these songs throughout the film: Need You – Fireboy DML Waambie – Alice Kimanzi Sauti Yako – Sauti Sol Kairetu (Acoustic) – Wanjine Dodo – Alikiba Unconditionally Bae – Sauti Sol ft. Alikiba Please do not replace these songs with other music. If you don't have access to them or can't use them because of licensing, let me know and I'll upload the original audio files. I'd like the songs blended together naturally so the music flows throughout the film. Footage Organization I will upload the video files in the order that I believe best matches the flow and emotion of the day. You don't have to follow that exact order, but I'd like you to use it as a guide to understand the pacing and overall vision I have in mind. Opening Title At the beginning of the video, I'd like an elegant cinematic intro. Please match the font and style from the wedding flyer that I'll provide. Include the text: Peter Kahiu & Naomi Wanjiru Ruracio May 22, 2026 If possible, I'd also like the opening to include a tasteful background featuring: A silhouette or close-up of a Black bride and groom holding hands A subtle representation of Kenya (such as the outline of the country, the Kenyan flag incorporated tastefully, or another elegant Kenyan-inspired design) The intro should feel classy, timeless, and cinematic—not overly animated or flashy. Color Please give the footage a polished cinematic look with: Warm whites Natural skin tones Rich blacks Slightly muted greens Soft contrast A clean, luxury wedding-film aesthetic Ending I'd like the ending to slow down emotionally and finish with some of the strongest moments from the day. If available, include: Final hugs Portraits Walking away together Drone footage End with a fade to black and the text: Forever Begins followed by Congratulations Peter & Naomi Reference Video I'd like the editing style, pacing, and storytelling to be inspired by this wedding highlight film: https://youtu.be/A5y60ZWF4ys?feature=shared I'm not looking for an exact copy, but I love the cinematic feel, emotional storytelling, pacing, and overall quality. Deliverables One cinematic highlight film (approximately 10 minutes) Color graded and audio mixed 4K export if possible (or highest quality available) One round of revisions included Please include samples of wedding films you've edited, especially if you've worked on African or cultural weddings. Experience with storytelling and cinematic wedding editing is more important to me than flashy effects.
