WordPress & AI Integration Developer

We are looking for an experienced WordPress & AI Integration Developer to help us build, customize, and integrate AI-powered functionality into WordPress websites and business workflows. The ideal developer should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, custom plugin development, REST APIs, AI APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations. You should be comfortable working with an existing WordPress codebase and developing reliable, production-ready solutions rather than relying only on page builders or off-the-shelf plugins. Responsibilities Develop and customize WordPress websites and custom plugins Integrate AI services and APIs into WordPress applications Build AI-powered features such as chatbots, content automation, lead handling, recommendations, and workflow automation Integrate OpenAI and other AI APIs with WordPress Develop REST API integrations and webhook-based workflows Connect WordPress with third-party platforms, CRMs, LMS platforms, payment systems, and other business tools Customize WooCommerce functionality and integrations where required Work with MySQL and WordPress databases Debug, optimize, and maintain existing WordPress functionality Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and production-ready Work closely with the project team to understand requirements and propose practical technical solutions Required Skills Strong WordPress development experience Advanced PHP knowledge Custom WordPress plugin development REST API integration Webhooks JavaScript MySQL WooCommerce Experience integrating AI APIs Experience with OpenAI or similar AI platforms Understanding of authentication, API security, and data handling Git/version control Nice to Have Experience with AI agents and AI automation Experience with OpenAI Assistants/Responses API or similar AI frameworks Experience with Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar automation platforms Experience with membership and LMS platforms Experience with Stripe/payment integrations Experience building SaaS or API-driven applications What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can think beyond simply installing plugins. You should be able to understand a business requirement, design the integration, work with APIs, write custom code, troubleshoot issues, and deliver a reliable solution.
