Backend Engineer — Real-Time Polling, WebSockets & API Optimization (Node.js / GraphQL / Prisma)

We are building a large-scale sports data and prediction platform with Next.js, GraphQL, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Our live experience depends on fast, accurate, and efficient synchronization with third-party sports APIs such as SportMonks. We’re looking for a backend engineer who can take complete ownership of the real-time data layer — optimizing polling, architecting a reliable WebSocket system, and ensuring users receive live match updates at the same speed as leading sports apps, while staying within API rate limits.
