CDTM Digital Platform Developer

The CDTM Digital Platform Developer and Healthcare Technology Consultant will lead the technical design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a dual-platform (web-based and mobile-responsive) Collaborative Drug Therapy Modification (CDTM) Toolkit funded through the NACDS Foundation. The consultant will work closely with the project team and stakeholders to translate clinical and operational requirements into a scalable digital solution that supports toolkit dissemination, user engagement, resource access, data collection, and program evaluation. This role will oversee the creation of secure, user-centered digital experiences optimized for healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. Responsibilities include website development, mobile-responsive design, system integration, user testing, analytics implementation, survey deployment, accessibility compliance, and adherence to healthcare privacy and security standards. The consultant will support ongoing platform enhancements and ensure the toolkit remains functional, accessible, and aligned with project objectives throughout the grant period. Job Duties -Platform Architecture and Technical Development Design, develop, and maintain a dual-platform CDTM Toolkit accessible through both web and mobile devices. Build front-end and back-end functionality required to support toolkit navigation, content delivery, interactive resources, and user workflows. Develop scalable architecture that allows future toolkit expansion and feature enhancements. Configure hosting environments, databases, APIs, and content management components required for platform operation. Conduct system testing and quality assurance activities prior to deployment. -Mobile and User Experience Optimization Create responsive interfaces that provide consistent functionality across desktops, tablets, and smartphones. Optimize platform performance, accessibility, and usability for healthcare professionals practicing in diverse settings. Conduct user testing sessions and incorporate stakeholder feedback into design refinements. Implement navigation structures and workflows that support efficient information retrieval and resource utilization. -Healthcare Data Collection and Evaluation Support Incorporate designed electronic surveys, assessments, questionnaires, and feedback tools and embed them within the toolkit. Develop mechanisms for secure collection, storage, and reporting of user engagement and project evaluation data. Create dashboards and analytics reports to monitor utilization, adoption, and user experience metrics. Collaborate with the project team to support evaluation, outcomes assessment, and dissemination activities. -Security, Compliance, and Risk Management Apply industry-standard security practices to protect platform integrity and user data. Ensure platform components align with HIPAA-aware design principles and healthcare information security requirements as appropriate for project activities. Conduct routine reviews of privacy, security, and access controls. Maintain documentation related to platform security, functionality, and technical specifications. -Overall Engagement and Technical Consultation Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, researchers, and project leadership to define technology requirements. Translate clinical workflows and implementation needs into software specifications and functional requirements. Provide recommendations regarding technology solutions, third-party integrations, and digital engagement strategies. Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates regarding development milestones, risks, and progress. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain platform performance, compatibility, and reliability throughout the project period. Develop technical documentation and user support materials to facilitate sustainability of the toolkit.
