(Claude) Automation / Integration Specialist — API Work + AI-Assisted Development

Budget: - HOURLY / FULL_TIME ⭐ 3.96 (10) Canada

api, api-integration

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience: Intermediate
Overview I need someone who can connect third-party services together into small working pipelines, and who works fluently with Claude (Anthropic's AI) as part of how they build — using Claude Code or similar tools to write, debug, and maintain the actual implementation. I don't need a specific language or a big app — I need someone who can turn "these services need to talk to each other" into something that just works, and who understands how to direct an AI coding tool to get there efficiently. You should be able to: Integrate REST APIs from different providers — handling auth, keys, rate limits, and errors — in whatever language/tools fit the job best Work fluently with Claude (or a comparable AI coding assistant) as your primary build method: prompting well, reviewing what it produces, catching mistakes, and iterating — not just accepting first-draft output Set up and securely manage credentials/environment variables Produce lightweight, low-maintenance outputs (a script, a static report/dashboard, a small automation) rather than over-engineering a full app when one isn't needed Set up basic scheduling/automation so something can run on its own (cron, Task Scheduler, or similar) Read documentation for unfamiliar APIs and figure out integration details independently Debug methodically — distinguish a bad key, a rate limit, a permissions issue, and an actual bug Explain what they built and why in plain English to a non-technical client, and leave things documented enough that I can run/maintain it myself afterward Nice to have: Experience with data-collection APIs (scraping tools, analytics providers, etc.) and awareness of the legal/gray-area considerations around scraping Experience with media-processing APIs (transcription, image/video handling) Comfortable structuring a project (README, config, clear file layout) for a non-technical owner to maintain going forward Deliverable expectations: A working pipeline with clear setup instructions (what to install, what accounts/keys to get, how to run it) Reasonable error handling so one failure doesn't break the whole thing A short walkthrough/handoff so I understand how to run and troubleshoot it myself
