Elementor WordPress Developer - Fix & Modernize Real Estate Website (Potential Ongoing Work)

JOB TITLE: Elementor WordPress Developer — Fix & Modernize Real Estate Website (Potential Ongoing Work) BUDGET: Hourly, $14–$28/hr JOB DESCRIPTION: We're looking for an experienced Elementor/WordPress developer to fix, update, and modernize an existing real estate website. This is a real estate and property management business, and the site is a key part of our marketing. The current site was built on Elementor about 6 years ago by a freelancer and is functional but outdated. We do NOT want a full rebuild — we're looking for someone who can work within the existing Elementor structure and improve it. We've already completed a full site audit documenting page-by-page issues and a prioritized fix list. This will be shared directly with the selected candidate to make onboarding fast and the scope clear from day one. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Mobile experience fixes - The homepage video does not autoplay on mobile; it should autoplay and feel more immersive - General mobile responsiveness issues need to be identified and fixed 2. Video / media section - Add a section on the front page to host multiple videos (currently only one old video is featured) - Should also accommodate embedding or linking recent social media posts 3. Bug fixes - Several existing pages/links are broken or slow to load and need troubleshooting and fixing 4. Past Sales section - Ongoing content updates — we will provide new sale listings periodically and need this section kept current (we can provide a walkthrough of the existing entry process) 5. General modernization - Light design refresh where reasonable — open to your suggestions for making the site feel more modern without a full redesign POTENTIAL FUTURE / ONGOING WORK: If this initial engagement goes well, we would like to discuss: - Building a separate, new website from scratch for our property management division (different branding/name from the real estate site) - We can share reference sites from other property management companies to guide the design direction - Ongoing maintenance and updates to both sites (this could become a recurring monthly engagement) IDEAL CANDIDATE: - Strong experience with Elementor (not just WordPress in general) - Comfortable working within and extending an existing site rather than rebuilding from scratch - Good communication — we'll be sharing screen recordings, references, and content, and want a developer who follows up and asks clarifying questions - Bonus: experience with real estate or property management websites, mobile video/media galleries, or basic SEO TO APPLY: Please share 2–3 examples of Elementor sites you've built or significantly updated, especially any involving video/media galleries or mobile optimization work.
