We are looking for an experienced freight logistics professional who also has strong writing and editing skills. This is not a typical content writing role. Most of the initial content will be generated with AI. Your job will be to take that content and transform it into something that demonstrates real industry expertise, reflects how shippers and freight brokers actually operate, and provides insights that generic writers would miss. We work with a freight broker and logistics providers in the United States and need someone who can help create high-quality service pages and blog articles that are accurate, useful, and authoritative.
What You'll Be Doing You will receive: - A target topic or keyword - Competitor examples (when applicable) - Brand guidelines (when available) Your responsibilities will include: - Creating and improving AI-generated outlines - Writing and editing service pages with AI, specific to the client - Writing and editing blog articles with AI, specific to the client - Fact-checking freight and logistics terminology - Adding industry expertise and practical insights to the AI draft - Ensuring content reflects real-world freight operations - Improving readability, flow, first person experience language, and conversion potential - Identifying & removing gaps, inaccuracies, and generic AI language - Creating content that is unique and differentiated from competitors
Topics May Include: - Freight Services - Full Truckload (FTL) - Less Than Truckload (LTL) - Expedited Freight - Other Logistics Topics - Freight Capacity - Carrier Relationships - Transportation Management - Industry-Specific Topics (Manufacturing Logistics, Food & Beverage Logistics, etc.)
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate must have real-world experience in one or more of the following: - Freight brokerage - Third-party logistics (3PL) - Trucking operations - Transportation management - Supply chain management - Carrier sales - Logistics consulting
You should be comfortable discussing topics such as: - Spot market vs contract freight - Capacity fluctuations - Lane density - Carrier sourcing - Transportation KPIs, etc. We are not looking for a generalist content writer who researches everything from scratch. We are specifically looking for someone who has worked or is working in the industry and understands the freight and logistics industry well enough to recognize when AI-generated content is missing important context, using inaccurate terminology, or failing to address the concerns of actual shippers and logistics professionals. Work volume is approximately 10 hours per month for the foreseeable future.
Please include: - A brief summary of your freight/logistics experience - Examples of freight, logistics, transportation, or supply chain content you have written or edited - Your experience working with AI-generated content Applications without relevant freight logistics experience will not be considered. Please start your response with "cozy slippers" so I know you read this.
