About us
We are a US B2B SaaS platform that turns product data and PDFs into interactive, shoppable digital catalogs for manufacturers and distributors (customers include large US enterprises). We're a small, fast team and SOC 2 audited.
The role
You'll own day-to-day front-end development of two products: (1) our catalog editor and design studio, a Vue 3 + Vite + Pinia single-page app (Vuetify, jQuery legacy parts) that runs inside our .NET admin; and (2) our customer-facing catalog viewer, an ASP.NET Core MVC app (Razor views, JavaScript/jQuery, flipbook-style page viewer that our customers' buyers use every day). You'll fix bugs, build features from clear specs, and keep quality high. You'll work alongside an AI coding assistant (Claude) that does a lot of the code reading and heavy lifting. Your job is to test in the browser, polish the UI, make good judgment calls, and own delivery. Every change goes through a pull request with code review before it ships.
What you'll do
- Fix editor bugs and ship features in Vue 3 / Vite / Pinia.
- Fix viewer bugs and improve the catalog viewer (JavaScript/jQuery, Razor views, some C# controllers): page navigation, hotspots/links, search, mobile behavior, performance.
- Test changes in the browser on our staging site before they go live.
- Work from pull requests: small, reviewed, with clear descriptions.
- Help consolidate several long-lived branches into one clean main line, and add basic tests.
- Join a short weekly call with our product lead.
Must have
- 2+ years of production Vue 3 (Composition API, Pinia, Vite).
- Strong vanilla JavaScript (including legacy jQuery code), HTML and CSS; comfortable with complex, visual UIs (drag-and-drop, canvas-like editors, layouts).
- Disciplined Git: feature branches, clean pull requests, resolving merge conflicts properly.
- Comfortable working with AI coding tools and reviewing AI-written code critically.
- Good written English and reliable communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with editors or design tools (page builders, PDF or print layouts).
- ASP.NET Core MVC / Razor and basic C# (strongly preferred, for the viewer).
- Writing tests (Vitest or Playwright).
How we hire
- Short call (20 min).
- Paid test task (about 3–4 hours, paid at your rate): fix a real small bug in our editor and add a test, submitted as a pull request.
- 2-week paid trial, then ongoing.
Requirements
You must work under your own name and be paid through Upwork in your own name (no subcontracting or third-party payouts). Contractors sign an NDA and IP agreement and get access to the code repository only.
To apply, answer briefly:
- Link to a Vue 3 project you built or maintained (and what part was yours).
- Describe a tricky UI bug you fixed and how you found it.
- How do you use AI coding tools in your work, and how do you check their output?
- Your country/time zone and weekly availability.
