Frontend Product Engineer for AI Operational Software

We are building a new operational software product that maintains a live, structured picture of what is happening inside a business. The backend intelligence already exists and is being tested in a real business environment. We are not hiring someone to design the AI system, prompts, database architecture, or business logic. We are hiring a strong frontend product engineer to turn an approved visual design into the first working product interface. First paid milestone Recreate our approved Operating Picture V0 design as a working React/Next.js application using an anonymized JSON fixture that we provide. The screen has two primary areas: Open Business -relationships currently in motion -commitments -waiting-on items -attention states -expected dates -filters What Just Changed -recent business events -latest change expanded into: -what we believed before -what happened / what was said -what is true now -changed / held / new state indicators The design is already created. We do not want a redesign during this milestone. Your job is to turn it into polished, maintainable frontend software. Important architecture boundary Milestone 1 is frontend only. You will receive: -approved design screenshot -written product brief -anonymized JSON fixture -expected interactions You will NOT need: -production database access -Supabase credentials -AI/LLM access -CRM access -backend credentials The UI should be built behind a small data-client abstraction so the fixture can later be replaced by a read-only API without rebuilding the components. Milestone 1 deliverables -Working React/Next.js implementation of Operating Picture V0 -Uses only the provided JSON fixture -Required filters and selections work -Responsive desktop/tablet/mobile behavior -Loading and empty states -Sensible reusable component structure -Local setup instructions -Git repository delivery -Deployed preview URL -No backend or production changes How we will evaluate the first milestone We care about: -Visual fidelity to the provided design -Product judgment — dense information should still be easy to understand -Clean, maintainable React/TypeScript -Responsiveness -Component design -Speed and communication If Milestone 1 goes well, likely follow-on work includes: -connecting the interface to a read-only product API -building the first real live operating view -a calendar/time-based product surface called Horizon -reusable components for additional operational views -eventually a hosted custom-view system This can become ongoing product work for the right person.
