Full Stack Developer Desktop Social Media SaaS Platform (Electron/Next.js)

Project Overview We're building a desktop-first social media SaaS platform a native-feeling social network app for Windows/Mac (and ideally Linux), not just a browser tab. Think a social feed, messaging, and community features delivered as an installable desktop app with real-time updates. Scope of Work Build a cross-platform desktop app (Electron or similar) wrapping a modern web frontend Core social features: user profiles, feed/timeline, posts (text/image/video), likes/comments, follow/friend system Real-time messaging and notifications (WebSockets) Backend API and database design for scale (auth, media storage, feed generation) Admin/moderation tooling basics Account/subscription layer if SaaS tiers are part of v1 Required Skills Electron (or Tauri) for desktop packaging React.js / Next.js, Node.js Real-time systems (WebSockets/Socket.io) PostgreSQL or similar relational DB, plus object storage for media Experience shipping a production SaaS product, not just prototypes Nice to Have Experience with social/community platforms specifically Push notification systems CI/CD and auto-update pipelines for desktop apps Budget & Timeline 100$-$150 and 3 days timeline To Apply Please share: relevant past projects (desktop apps or social platforms preferred), your proposed tech stack, and an estimated timeline for an MVP.
