Full-Stack Developer / Forward Deployed Engineer

We're looking for a resourceful software developer who enjoys solving real business problems through technology. This isn't a traditional development role where you'll simply receive tickets and write code. We're looking for a builder and problem solver who can understand business challenges, help refine ideas and prototypes in Claude, and turn them into functional software within days, not weeks or months. The ideal candidate embraces AI-assisted development, rapid prototyping, and iterative development. We're looking for someone who can move quickly from a business conversation to a working application, then refine and deploy it. However, we're also looking for someone with traditional development experience who understands good coding stuctures and security. What You'll Do Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and design custom software solutions. Help refine concepts, requirements, and early prototypes using Claude and other AI tools. Build functional software prototypes within days, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. Rapidly iterate on prototypes based on stakeholder feedback and develop them into production-ready applications. Build full-stack web applications, internal tools, integrations, and automations. Design, write, and optimize SQL queries and relational databases. Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments. Required Skills Strong SQL skills are essential, including complex queries and relational database design. Experience building and deploying full-stack web applications. Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to rapidly prototype and develop software. Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and modern development practices. Ability to independently investigate problems, recommend solutions, and deliver working software. Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and ownership. Preferred Experience Languages & Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, JavaScript, PHP Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server AI Development Tools: Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex Cloud & DevOps: AWS, DigitalOcean, Docker, Linux, CI/CD Integrations: REST APIs, webhooks, SaaS platforms Who We're Looking For We value practical experience and demonstrated ability over formal credentials. You should be comfortable collaborating on a rough concept in Claude, refining the requirements, and delivering a functional prototype within a few days. You embrace AI tools, communicate clearly, take ownership, and know how to balance speed with quality. Location & Collaboration We're seeking candidates based in Mexico, Central America, or South America, preferably with working hours overlapping U.S. Central Time. Strong English communication skills are preferred. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with our U.S.-based team via Zoom a few times per week.
