Full-Stack Developer — Military Transition Marketplace MVP — Founding Team

Pivot Alliance is building an availability-driven military transition marketplace connecting transitioning service members with civilian career opportunities, SkillBridge programs, employers, and housing partners. The MVP is currently being developed and is approaching launch. We are looking for a full-stack developer who can join early, understand the existing codebase, help complete the MVP, and continue developing the platform as Pivot Alliance grows. This is a founding-team opportunity for someone who wants to work on a product from an early stage rather than simply complete a one-time development project. Current Tech Stack: Next.js React PostgreSQL Node.js Stripe AWS S3 JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) Experience with this stack is preferred, but strong developers with comparable experience are welcome to apply. Responsibilities: Review and understand the existing MVP/codebase Complete remaining MVP functionality Identify and fix bugs and technical issues Build and improve platform features Develop and maintain frontend and backend functionality Work with Supabase/PostgreSQL database Manage authentication and user roles Work with APIs and third-party integrations Improve search and filtering functionality Support employer, service member, and housing partner workflows Develop availability-based matching functionality Maintain Stripe subscriptions and payment functionality Improve platform performance, security, and reliability Deploy and maintain updates Work directly with the founder on product development and priorities Ideal Candidate Strong full-stack development experience Comfortable taking over an existing MVP Experience building web applications or marketplaces Strong frontend and backend skills Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, and PostgreSQL Comfortable working with authentication, APIs, databases, and payment integrations Able to independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment Strong communication and documentation skills Interested in a long-term development relationship Compensation: $150/week base stipend initially. The initial focus will be on completing and stabilizing the MVP within a limited number of hours per week. As Pivot Alliance begins actively generating revenue, compensation and development hours can increase based on the needs of the platform and the developer's performance. This is intended to be a long-term founding-team opportunity for the right developer.
