Full Stack Engineer for AI Integration

Summary We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Mobile Developer to help an early-stage matchmaking startup finish and launch its products. The main focus is stabilizing and completing a React Native iOS app, porting it to Android, shipping a Next.js web app for professional matchmakers, and connecting both front ends to a Node.js/PostgreSQL back end on AWS. General Information The company is building a database of single people for professional human matchmakers. Singles join through a mobile app and complete an AI-powered voice interview, and their answers are mapped to personality traits. Matchmakers use a separate web app to search the database through an AI chat interface and find matches for their high-end clients. The iOS app is live in the App Store with about 1,000 downloads and is 80–90% complete. The matchmaker web app is about 90% complete and not yet shipped. The team is small: a product lead, a UX designer, and a back-end engineer. The designers build front-end screens with Cursor and hand them off to engineering to connect to the back end. The stack includes React Native, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, a vector database, AWS, ElevenLabs for voice, and Stripe. AI features use Claude and Gemini, and the company is migrating them to AWS Bedrock. Tasks and Deliverables Audit the current codebase and estimate the remaining work to launch. Finish, bug-fix, and stabilize the React Native iOS app as the first users are admitted. Port the app to Android and release it on Google Play. Complete and ship the Next.js matchmaker web app. Connect designer-built front ends (made with Cursor) to back-end APIs and endpoints. Work with the back-end engineer on Node.js services, PostgreSQL, and vector search on AWS. Support AI features, including the voice interview (ElevenLabs), AI-powered search, and the migration to AWS Bedrock. Required Experience 5+ years of full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development. Proven React Native experience, with apps shipped to both the App Store and Google Play. Strong proficiency in Next.js/React and Node.js. Solid experience with PostgreSQL and AWS. Experience connecting front ends to back-end APIs in production apps. Nice to Have: Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, OpenSearch) and semantic search. Experience integrating LLMs (AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini). Familiarity with voice AI (ElevenLabs) and in-app audio handling. Experience with Stripe, especially Connect or payouts. Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor). Experience in an early-stage startup.
