Laravel/MySQL Developer – Maintain Fleet Management System + Tachogram API Integration

We're looking for an experienced Laravel developer to maintain and grow PTC Fleet Management System (PTC FMS), our in-house platform for managing vehicles, drivers, maintenance and compliance. This is an ongoing role: a monthly maintenance retainer plus fixed-price projects for new modules. TECH STACK - Back end: Laravel (PHP) - Database: MySQL - Website: Node.js FIRST PROJECT: TACHOGRAM API INTEGRATION Driver card and vehicle .DDD files already reach Tachogram (tachograph analysis software). We need its analysed data pulled into PTC FMS: 1. Discovery – review our codebase and the Tachogram API; deliver a short spec and fixed quote 2. Record matching – link drivers by card number and vehicles by VIN/registration 3. Sync job – scheduled Laravel job pulling work times, infringements, km driven and download status into MySQL 4. PTC screens – compliance dashboard, payroll hours, download-due reminders 5. Testing and handover – one week of data matches Tachogram's reports; code and docs handed over ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES - Bug fixes, security updates and Laravel/PHP/Node upgrades - MySQL maintenance: migrations, performance, backups - Deployments and hosting - Building new modules from spec to release - Documentation and a short weekly progress update MUST HAVE - 4+ years PHP, 3+ years Laravel - Strong MySQL and REST API integration experience - Node.js experience - Comfortable taking over an existing codebase - Git and deployment to Linux/cloud hosting - Clear written English; UK time-zone overlap NICE TO HAVE - Fleet, telematics or tachograph software experience - Docker, CI/CD, PHPUnit/Pest - UK GDPR awareness TO APPLY 1.
