Lead SaaS Performance & Scalability Engineer – Laravel/PHP

I am looking for an highly experienced Lead SaaS Performance & Scalability Engineer with deep expertise in Laravel/PHP to optimize and scale our existing live platform. Our platform is already operational and growing, but as user traffic and activity increase, we are experiencing performance and speed challenges. We need an engineer who has successfully managed and scaled high-traffic SaaS platforms and can identify bottlenecks, redesign where necessary, and ensure the platform remains fast, stable, secure and highly available as usage grows. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in: Advanced Laravel/PHP development and architecture. Scaling live, high-traffic SaaS platforms. Diagnosing application, database, API and server performance bottlenecks. MySQL/database query optimization and indexing. Caching, Redis, queues, workers and background processing. Cloud/server architecture, load balancing and horizontal scaling. API and third-party integration performance. Monitoring, profiling and production troubleshooting. High availability, security and disaster recovery. Safely improving an existing live platform without disrupting users. Most importantly: I need someone who can demonstrate previous experience taking a slow or struggling live SaaS platform and successfully scaling it to support significant growth in users and transactions without performance degradation.
