Senior C#/.NET Backend Engineer

Project Overview We're looking for an experienced, hands-on C#/.NET engineer to support enterprise platform development. The work involves maintaining and improving backend APIs, microservices, configuration services, monitoring, and existing enterprise applications. We need someone who can independently handle technical challenges, deliver reliable code, and collaborate effectively with other engineers. Mandatory Requirements **Technical Skills** - 8+ years of professional software development experience. - Strong C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, REST APIs, and microservices. - SQL Server/PostgreSQL, Entity Framework/Dapper, and query optimization. - Enterprise applications, shared services, and legacy modernization. - Production debugging, performance monitoring, logs, metrics, and tracing. - Git, rebase/merge, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD, and Jira/Agile workflows. - Experience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI development tools. **Communication & Ownership** - Strong English communication and remote-team collaboration. - Proactive, independent problem-solving and technical ownership. - Ability to clarify requirements, make architectural decisions, and explain trade-offs. - Experience collaborating with product owners and engineering teams. - Ability to manage deadlines, communicate blockers early, and deliver production-ready code. - Comfortable mentoring developers and suggesting technical improvements. ## Preferred Skills - OpenTelemetry, Datadog, ELK, distributed tracing. - Feature flags, LaunchDarkly, dynamic configuration. - AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD. - Angular/React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python. - Kafka/RabbitMQ and event-driven systems. - OAuth 2.0, JWT, application security. - LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MCP. Working Arrangement - Remote independent contractor. - Approximately 25–30 hours per week. - US Eastern Time overlap for meetings and collaboration. - Required attendance at scheduled standups and technical discussions. - Flexible development hours, with responsibility for agreed deliverables. - Budget: Approximately **USD $1,000/month**. - Preference for candidates based in India or Pakistan.
