About Us
Nivalon Medical Technologies is an early-stage medical device company developing next-generation, patient-specific spinal implant technology. We are building an FDA- and ISO 13485-compliant digital manufacturing platform to support our pilot production facility and future commercial scale-up.
We are seeking an experienced ERPNext/Frappe developer or small development team to help architect and build a modern Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that integrates production, inventory, traceability, quality documentation, and electronic manufacturing records.
This is not a typical ERP customization project. We are looking for a long-term technical partner to help build a scalable digital manufacturing platform for regulated medical device production.

Project Overview
Our manufacturing environment is low-volume, high-complexity, with each device manufactured specifically for an individual patient.
The platform will be centered around ERPNext and will support:
• Manufacturing Work Orders
• Inventory and Lot Traceability
• Barcode-Driven Manufacturing
• Digital Work Instructions
• Electronic Device History Records (DHR)
• Operator Authentication and Electronic Signatures
• Equipment Verification
• Inspection and Quality Records
• Label Printing
• Production Dashboards
The system will also integrate with our existing ISO 13485 Quality Management System (OpenRegulatory) through APIs or other appropriate integration methods.
A detailed functional specification will be provided after execution of a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

• Medical device software
• FDA-regulated industries
• ISO 13485
• 21 CFR Part 11
• Electronic signatures
• Traceability systems
• Inventory and warehouse management
• Production scheduling
• Quality management systems
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Scope of Initial Engagement
The first phase will focus on system architecture, implementation planning, and development of a minimum viable manufacturing execution platform. Additional phases will expand functionality over time.
This engagement has the potential to evolve into a multi-year development partnership.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a developer who thinks like a systems architect—not just someone who writes code.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable:
• Recommending best practices
• Designing scalable software architecture
• Building maintainable, well-documented code
• Working collaboratively with a small engineering team
• Participating in design discussions
• Helping shape the long-term technical roadmap
Strong communication skills are essential.

Why Join This Project?
This is an opportunity to help build a next-generation digital manufacturing platform from the ground up—not simply customize an existing ERP.
The successful contractor will work directly with company leadership to design a paperless manufacturing environment supporting advanced medical device production. As the platform grows, there will be opportunities to lead additional development phases, implement new capabilities, and play a key role in the evolution of our manufacturing technology.
We value thoughtful engineering, clean architecture, and long-term collaboration over quick fixes. If you're excited about solving complex manufacturing challenges in a regulated environment, we'd love to hear from you.
