Senior Full-Stack Tech Lead (TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL) for a Long-Term AI Product Build

We are building a new AI-powered product and are looking for a senior freelance Tech Lead for a long-term contract. You’ll own the architecture and lead the build from the first commit to launch and beyond. The experience we’re looking for: ✅ 7+ years of full-stack development, with at least 2 as the lead engineer on a shipped product ✅ Production work in TypeScript, Next.js and PostgreSQL ✅ Real integrations with OAuth, third-party APIs and webhooks ✅ Background jobs, retries and systems that keep running when an outside service fails ✅ Security done properly: authentication, access control and encrypted secrets ✅ Bonus: you’ve built features on top of an AI model API such as Claude or OpenAI ✅ At least 2 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific Time To apply, send a proposal with: Two or three products you led, with links and what you built in each Your weekly availability Your answer to this: how would you handle retries for a system that depends on several third-party APIs?
