Preferred qualifications
- Experience: Intermediate
We are looking for an experienced but cost-efficient full-stack developer for a short-term assignment on an already-developed e-commerce and logistics platform.
This is not a new application development project. The platform is substantially complete and we need someone who can understand the existing codebase quickly, implement one focused logistics workflow correction, assist with deployment/testing, and remain available for a short period after launch to resolve real production issues.
Platform
The system includes:
React Native Customer App
React Native Driver App
React / Next.js Vendor Panel
React / Next.js Admin Panel
Node.js backend / REST APIs
MongoDB database
MYSQL
Multi-vendor marketplace
SHEIN / Proxy Shopping module
Barcode-based logistics and warehouse workflow
Driver delivery and tracking
COD and online payments payments
Vendor, driver and financial management
Main Development Task
The current SHEIN / Proxy Shopping logistics flow needs one important correction.
At present, when a SHEIN order is created, the system incorrectly treats the shipment as though it has already arrived at the local warehouse.
This must be changed.
Required workflow:
Customer creates a SHEIN / Proxy Shopping order.
Logistics status starts as Pending.
The order must NOT automatically be marked as received in our Local Warehouse.
The shipment remains pending/in transit until it physically reaches the local warehouse.
When the shipment arrives, the warehouse operator scans its barcode.
Only this barcode scan changes the status to Received in the local Warehouse.
The existing local delivery workflow then continues from the the local warehouse to the customer (per the same delivery logic of the platform).
Payment status and logistics status must remain independent.
Deployment & Production Support
After the modification is completed, we want the developer to:
Review the relevant existing code and improve if needed.
Test the complete SHEIN order flow end-to-end, ability to make it faster.
Test barcode scanning and warehouse receipt.
Test payment methods with the corrected logistics flow.
Verify that existing marketplace deliveries are not negatively affected.
Assist with production deployment if needed.
Monitor initial real-life use after deployment.
Investigate and fix bugs found during actual production use.
Coordinate clearly with us when an issue originates from existing code rather than the new modification.
Document any changes made.
This will initially be a short-term assignment, with the possibility of long term future maintenance work if performance is good.
Required Experience
Please apply only if you have practical experience with:
React Native
Node.js / REST APIs
React or Next.js
MongoDB
Existing/legacy codebases
E-commerce order workflows
Logistics/order status systems
Barcode/QR scanning workflows
Production deployment and debugging
Experience with payment systems, warehouse systems or delivery applications is strongly preferred.
What We Are Looking For
We prefer a developer who:
Can understand existing code quickly.
Does not unnecessarily rewrite working functionality.
Makes focused and clean modifications.
Can debug production issues independently.
Communicates clearly and responds reliably during the launch period.
Is comfortable working with an existing developer/codebase.
Offers a competitive rate.
