Hello,
I’m Lawrence Cox. I’m currently organizing the deployment infrastructure for a portfolio of intellectual-property-driven businesses and digital properties, and I’m looking for a strong technical implementation partner rather than a traditional web designer.
We have developed an internal system that substantially changes the normal website-development workflow.
Our team handles the upstream work: business architecture, positioning, information architecture, copy, UX direction, visual concepts, functional requirements, and increasingly the working prototype/code itself using AI-assisted development.
What we need is someone who is particularly good at the downstream work:
APPROVED PROTOTYPE → CODE REVIEW/CLEANUP → RESPONSIVE IMPLEMENTATION → INTEGRATIONS → QA → REPOSITORY → DOMAIN/DNS → PRODUCTION DEPLOYMENT → DOCUMENTATION
### The Inventory
This is not a single website project.
We are building an interconnected portfolio that currently includes:
**LawrenceCox.com**
The founder and institutional front door connecting the larger ecosystem.
**MindShapes**
An observation, publishing, education, and intellectual-property platform focused on helping people see the invisible structures shaping visible experience.
**RLNTI / Ralenti**
An orientation and diagnostic-intelligence platform with service, intake, publishing, and eventually practitioner/institutional components.
**ELLEXCIO**
An execution-intelligence system concerned with converting ideas and strategy into survivable execution pathways.
**ThumbThink**
A capital and deployment platform designed to move intellectual property through appropriate operators and commercial vehicles.
Beyond these principal properties, the inventory includes additional concepts, publishing properties, tools, experiments, product brands, landing pages, campaign sites, and potentially web applications that will be deployed progressively.
We therefore want to develop a repeatable deployment system rather than commission unrelated websites one at a time.
### How We Want to Work
We intend to keep our technology portable and avoid unnecessary dependency on proprietary ecosystems.
Depending on the property, our stack may involve Git/GitHub, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React/Next.js, modern hosting/deployment infrastructure, APIs, CMS systems, and selected platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or Framer when they are genuinely appropriate.
The objective is not technological complexity.
It is **clean, portable, maintainable infrastructure**.
We also want to develop reusable components and standards so that every subsequent deployment becomes faster and more economical than the previous one.
### First Assignment
Rather than beginning with a large contract, I prefer a small paid deployment test.
We will provide a defined prototype or page with clear requirements.
You would be asked to:
1. Review the supplied prototype/code.
2. Identify any technical issues or improvements necessary for production.
3. Implement it faithfully.
4. Make it fully responsive.
5. Optimize basic performance and accessibility.
6. Maintain clean repository/version-control practices.
7. Deploy it into a production-ready environment.
8. Document what you changed and how the deployment works.
We are specifically evaluating execution quality, communication, technical judgment, fidelity to the specification, code cleanliness, deployment discipline, and efficiency.
I am not looking for someone to redesign our work unless you identify a genuine technical or usability problem. Good judgment is welcome; unnecessary reinvention is not.
### Longer-Term Opportunity
If the first engagement works well, there is substantially more behind it.
My objective is to establish a small trusted technical deployment bench that understands our architecture and can repeatedly take properties from approved prototype to production.
That could eventually include:
• institutional and founder websites
• publishing platforms
• commerce and transaction infrastructure
• service-booking and intake systems
• membership/access systems
• dashboards and internal tools
• API and third-party integrations
• experimental web applications
• campaign and product landing pages
• maintenance and controlled feature releases
The larger principle is simple:
**We design and specify upstream. You help make it production-grade downstream.**
As the system matures, our documentation, component libraries, repositories, deployment standards, and AI-assisted development processes should make the work increasingly repeatable.
