Statistical and Psychometric RFP Writer

**Technical Writer (Contract) — Assessment Technical Manual Revision** We're seeking a contract technical writer to revise our assessment technical manual with updated norms data and newly calculated reliability and validity evidence. This is a project-based engagement focused on producing a clear, psychometrically rigorous, and publication-ready manual. Responsibilities: - Revise and update the existing technical manual to incorporate new normative data, including refreshed norm tables, score interpretations, and supporting narrative. - Calculate and document reliability metrics (e.g., internal consistency, test-retest, standard error of measurement) and validity evidence (e.g., concurrent, predictive, construct) from provided datasets. - Translate statistical results into accurate, accessible prose and well-structured tables and figures suitable for a technical/psychometric audience. - Ensure the manual aligns with relevant measurement standards (e.g., the *Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing*). - Collaborate with the research/psychometrics team to verify methods, sources, and interpretations. Qualifications: - Proven technical writing experience, ideally with assessment, psychometric, or research documentation. - Working knowledge of reliability and validity concepts and the ability to compute and interpret related statistics (familiarity with Python or Claude Code a plus) - Strong command of clear, precise writing and data presentation. - Ability to work independently and meet defined project milestones.
