Web App Audit and Optimization

Our website and report tool were built by a non-technical founder with the help of AI (ChatGPT). They work and are being used by pilot inspectors, but the app has become slow as features were added, and it is hard to maintain without technical help. Current setup, as we understand it: • Marketing website and inspector report tool, built with AI-generated code • Render, used to generate PDF reports and host parts of the app • Cloudflare, used for photo storage What We Need (Phase 1 – Fixed Price) 1. Review the current code and hosting setup and explain, in plain English, how it all fits together. 2. Find out why the app is slow and fix the biggest performance problems. 3. Make sure reports and photos are reliably backed up. 4. Make sure we (the business) own and control all code and accounts, ideally with the code in a GitHub repository. 5. Write a short document covering what runs where and how to maintain it. 6. Recommend next steps: keep and improve the current build, or rebuild parts of it. Ideal Candidate • Experience with web apps, PDF generation, and cloud storage (Render and Cloudflare a plus) • Comfortable working with AI-generated or messy code • Explains technical things simply to a non-technical owner • Good reviews and examples of similar rescue or cleanup projects To Apply, Please Include • A short note on how you'd approach Phase 1 • An estimated fixed price and timeline for Phase 1 • One or two similar projects you've done
