WooCommerce Bulk Product Import & Catalog Automation — Urgent Project
We are a U.S.-based B2B wholesale export company seeking an experienced WooCommerce specialist to finalize an existing WordPress website and prepare it for launch.
The website is already designed. We are NOT looking for a website redesign. Our priority is completing the product catalog, improving automation, organizing product categories, and ensuring all B2B quotation features work correctly.
Project Overview
- Approximately 7,400 products across 7 departments and 159 subcategories.
- Existing CSV product files follow a 31-column WooCommerce import template.
- Existing WordPress/WooCommerce website with a custom product-import and image-matching workflow under development.
- B2B Request for Quotation (RFQ) functionality already implemented but requiring final testing.
Required Technical Expertise
1. Bulk import thousands of WooCommerce products accurately and efficiently.
2. Organize products into the correct departments and subcategories.
3. Configure product-specific attributes such as size, weight, storage, color, capacity, model, and compatibility.
4. Automate product-image identification, matching, and uploading into the WordPress Media Library, using images with appropriate usage rights.
5. Prevent duplicate SKUs and incorrect product assignments.
6. Identify and flag unverified product information, including HS codes, country of origin, and minimum order quantities.
7. Verify product search, filtering, and Add to Quote functionality.
8. Preserve the existing website design and optimize performance.
Initial Paid Pilot — $300 Fixed Price
We will begin with a technical assessment and a controlled test involving 30–50 products across at least three different departments.
The pilot must demonstrate accurate product imports, correct images, appropriate attributes, proper subcategory assignments, duplicate prevention, and functional quotation requests.
The $300 budget applies ONLY to the initial pilot, not the full 7,400-product project.
The selected freelancer may be awarded the larger implementation project through separately negotiated milestones following successful pilot completion.
Timeline
We need someone who can begin immediately and provide an initial assessment and pilot results within approximately 2–3 days, subject to confirming access and technical feasibility.
Our goal is to launch a verified initial catalog as quickly as possible, followed by phased completion of the remaining products.
To Apply, Please Answer:
1. Have you successfully imported 5,000 or more products into WooCommerce? Please provide examples.
2. What tools or methods would you use for bulk CSV imports and product-image matching?
3. How would you handle different product attributes across multiple departments?
4. Can you complete the initial pilot within 2–3 days?
5. What is your estimated timeline and fixed-price quotation for the full project?
We value demonstrated technical expertise, accuracy, clear communication, and reliable delivery.
Further project information will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
