Contract Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Lakehouses & Warehouses

We need an experienced Contract Data Engineer to design, build, and support reliable Microsoft Fabric data solutions. You will create and maintain data pipelines, lakehouses, and warehouses that deliver clean, trusted data for analytics and reporting. What you will do Build and optimize Fabric pipelines that ingest data from systems such as Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, and SQL databases into Lakehouses and Warehouses. Investigate and permanently fix pipeline failures, data quality issues, slow refreshes, and performance problems. Add data quality checks, monitoring, and alerts so issues are caught before they reach business users. Work with stakeholders to turn business needs into practical, scalable data solutions. Document designs and processes clearly so the team can support and extend your work. Continuously improve architecture, automation, reliability, and cost efficiency. Required skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Spark, Delta Lake) Advanced SQL and solid Python for data engineering Proven ability to build and support production ETL/ELT pipelines Experience integrating systems via REST APIs and webhooks Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, and dimensional modeling This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning production data systems and making them more reliable, faster, and easier to maintain.
