Custom Transportation Instant Quote, Booking & Payment System

We are looking for an experienced developer to build and integrate a custom instant quote and booking system for Orlux, a premium private transportation and chauffeur service. This is not simply a basic pricing calculator. We need a complete customer-facing system that allows clients to enter their trip information, receive an accurate price instantly, select a vehicle or service category, complete their reservation, and pay online. Customer Booking Flow: 1. Enter pickup and destination addresses 2. Select the pickup date and time 3. Enter the number of passengers 4. View the available vehicle or service categories 5. Receive an instant price for each available category 6. Select a category 7. Enter passenger and reservation information 8. Pay securely online 9. Receive a booking confirmation by email and/or SMS Pricing Requirements: The system must calculate prices using customizable business rules, including: * Pickup and destination addresses * Route distance and estimated driving time * Vehicle or service category * Base fare * Minimum fare * Per-mile pricing * Per-minute or hourly pricing * Tolls * Airport and location-specific fees * Additional stops * Waiting time * Early-morning, late-night, holiday, or special-date surcharges * Flat-rate routes * Service-area or zone-based pricing * Same-day or last-minute booking surcharges * Manual discounts or promotional codes * Minimum booking requirements Flat-rate rules must be able to override the standard distance-and-time calculation when applicable. The pricing rules must be editable through an administrative interface. We do not want to contact the developer every time we need to change a rate, surcharge, minimum fare, service area, or vehicle category. Mapping and Routing: The system should use a reliable routing service such as Google Maps, Mapbox, or HERE to: * Provide address autocomplete * Validate pickup and destination addresses * Calculate route distance * Estimate driving time * Support multiple stops when necessary Website Integration: The system will be integrated into our existing Orlux website. We want the entire booking experience to feel like part of our branded website, rather than redirecting customers to an unrelated or generic external page. The developer should recommend the best integration method based on the website’s existing structure, whether through an API, embedded application, custom module, or another appropriate solution. Payment and Confirmation Requirements: The completed system should support: * Secure online card payments * Booking confirmations * Customer information collection * Reservation details * Internal notifications for new bookings * Payment status * Cancellation and refund handling, when applicable The payment processor and final technical approach can be discussed before development begins. Administrative Requirements: We need an internal dashboard or administrative section where we can: * Create and edit vehicle or service categories * Update pricing rules * Add or change flat-rate routes * Configure surcharges and additional fees * Define service areas * Review quotes and reservations * View payment status * Manually create or adjust a reservation when necessary Expected Deliverables: * Fully functional instant quote system * Customer booking and checkout process * Secure payment integration * Website integration * Mobile-responsive design * Editable administrative pricing controls * Testing of calculations and booking scenarios * Error handling for invalid addresses, unavailable routes, or trips outside the service area * Clean, maintainable code * Technical documentation * Instructions explaining how to update pricing rules * Deployment and launch support The system must be tested using real trip examples before final delivery.
