F-Gas Tracking Software

We are looking for a developer to support the development of a proof-of-concept AI-assisted cylinder tracking system for our HVAC business. The objective is to create a simple system that allows our field engineers to record the collection, transfer and return of refrigerant and gas cylinders with minimal administration. The initial concept uses photographs and simple engineer inputs to automatically capture information such as: * Unique cylinder serial number * Cylinder/gas type * Collection and return information * Current engineer/holder * Transfers between engineers * Supporting return documentation * Cylinder status and history The longer-term objective is to provide a live record of our cylinders, improve chain-of-custody tracking, reduce unnecessary cylinder rental charges and make reconciliation against supplier/wholesaler statements significantly easier. This initial engagement is for a **proof of concept**, working alongside our internal project lead and another developer who is already familiar with the project and detailed requirements. The proof of concept will be developed first, tested and reviewed before deciding on the scope of the full implementation. Experience with automation, AI/document or image processing, APIs and Microsoft 365 environments would be beneficial.
