HubSpot-Focused Back-End Developer / Data Engineer – ERP & CRM Integrations

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer/Data Engineer with strong HubSpot, ERP/CRM integration, and data migration expertise for an immediate hire. This role is best suited to someone who can design and build reliable integrations, manage complex data migrations, solve technical problems independently, and communicate confidently with clients and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with our Technical Team Lead and help manage technical implementations from discovery and solution design through development, testing, documentation, and delivery. Primary Areas of Focus HubSpot CRM development and technical configuration ERP and CRM integrations Complex, multi-source data migrations API and webhook development Back-end development and automation Data mapping, transformation, validation, and record associations Integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement custom ERP/CRM solutions, with a strong focus on HubSpot. Build and maintain integrations using Node.js and/or Python. Use APIs, webhooks, middleware, and cloud platforms to connect HubSpot with external systems. Plan and execute complex CRM and ERP data migrations. Preserve relationships between companies, contacts, deals, line items, and other CRM objects. Build integration processes that prevent duplicate records and safely handle repeated events. Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, transformation, reporting, and database management. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and scalable solutions. Lead client discovery sessions, technical workshops, and solution presentations. Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Troubleshoot and optimize integrations, workflows, configurations, and custom solutions. Document technical decisions, assumptions, processes, and delivered solutions. Manage assigned timelines, deliverables, and client expectations. Collaborate with consulting, delivery, support, and project management teams. Work under the guidance of and report to our Technical Team Lead. Required Technical Experience Strong, hands-on HubSpot experience, including CRM configuration, APIs, integrations, workflows, associations, and custom properties. Demonstrated experience with ERP and CRM systems. Proven experience completing large, complex, or multi-source data migrations. Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations using APIs and webhooks. Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python. Advanced SQL knowledge. Experience with middleware or cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or a comparable solution. Understanding of data mapping, transformation, validation, deduplication, error handling, and integration monitoring. Ability to create clear technical documentation and README files. Experience leading technical projects or implementations. Exposure to React, Angular, Vue.js, or another front-end framework. Project management certification or equivalent practical experience. Technical Assessment The first stage of the interview process is a practical technical assessment estimated to take approximately three to four hours. The assessment reflects the type of ERP/CRM migration and integration work this position will perform. It allows us to evaluate your technical reasoning, problem-solving approach, code quality, data-handling practices, and ability to document your work. The assessment includes two parts: HubSpot Data Migration Migrate supplied company, contact, and deal data into HubSpot while preserving the required relationships between the records. Airtable-to-HubSpot Integration Build a middleware-hosted service that synchronizes companies, contacts, deals, and line items from Airtable to HubSpot. The integration must support create and update operations, maintain the correct associations, map deal statuses appropriately, and prevent duplicate records when an event is received more than once.
