Kubernetes & Database Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a technically strong Kubernetes & Database Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on experience supporting production infrastructure, databases, and cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, working with Kubernetes and relational databases, automating operational tasks, and working across Linux, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and working with production systems. Responsibilities Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and workloads. Troubleshoot Pods, Deployments, Services, StatefulSets, networking, storage, scheduling, and resource utilization. Operate and support relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MariaDB. Perform database maintenance, backup and restore operations, replication, and troubleshooting. Work with Kubernetes PersistentVolumes, PersistentVolumeClaims, StorageClasses, and operators. Support Kubernetes deployments, upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance. Troubleshoot Linux systems and infrastructure issues. Develop and maintain automation using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and/or Python. Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, and related platforms. Investigate alerts, performance issues, and infrastructure failures. Troubleshoot issues across compute, networking, storage, Kubernetes, and database layers. Work with cloud and private-cloud infrastructure. Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Perform root-cause analysis and document technical findings. Develop and maintain operational documentation and runbooks. Participate in production incident investigation and resolution. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, automation, performance, and operational efficiency. Required Experience Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments. Experience operating stateful workloads on Kubernetes. Production experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MariaDB. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible. Experience with Bash and/or Python scripting. Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, ports, and connectivity troubleshooting. Understanding of storage concepts, persistent volumes, and backup/restore processes. Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and investigate complex technical issues. Preferred Experience OpenStack, including Nova, Cinder, and Neutron. Ceph or other distributed storage technologies. OVN / OVS networking. Kubernetes operators and database operators. PostgreSQL high availability and replication. MySQL/MariaDB replication and high availability. Database backup and disaster recovery. Prometheus and Grafana. SRE practices and production incident management. DBaaS or multi-tenant infrastructure. AWS, Azure, or GCP.
