Senior Backend Engineer: Web Scraping & Lead Enrichment

We run lead generation for local service businesses, including commercial cleaning, plumbing, electrical and roofing companies. We need an experienced backend engineer to finish an existing sourcing pipeline and integrate it into our operations platform. We already have a Next.js platform, Python and TypeScript code, PostgreSQL/Supabase databases, existing lead archives, scraping tools and approximatelyvarious business categories. Several stages work, but the complete workflow needs integration. What you’ll build - A resumable sourcing queue organized by client, category and location. - Data reuse and deduplication before additional scraping or paid enrichment. - Google Maps and internal-database discovery using existing tools. - Website-based company qualification with in-scope, out-of-scope and unsure verdicts, supporting evidence and review queues. - Contact enrichment for owners, facility managers and office contacts. - Email validation, contact-quality checks and preservation of missing or uncertain information. - Reporting inside the existing platform, showing results, costs, failures and drop-off at each stage. What success looks like One client completes a bounded run from its targeting brief through discovery, qualification, enrichment, validation and an Operations report. An interrupted run resumes safely, completed work is reused, and every excluded or held record has an inspectable reason. Required experience Strong Python, TypeScript/Node.js, PostgreSQL, API integration and production scraping experience. You should understand queues, rate limits, caching, deduplication, testing and failure recovery. Next.js and LLM-based classification experience are useful. To apply 1.
