SOP Development for Skilled Nursing Facilities

We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) operations. The primary objective is to standardize our revenue cycle and ensure billing accuracy across all departments.The scope of this project requires you to research, compile, and document clear workflows that include the following core components: Diagnosis (Dx) Codes: Map out the most common SNF diagnostic codes and their full medical descriptions. CPT/HCPCS Codes: Categorize relevant evaluation, management, and therapy codes used in long-term care settings. Modifiers: Document exact billing modifier rules to prevent front-end rejections and ensure compliance. Reimbursement Rates: Include current Medicare and Medicaid approved rates for these CPT codes to track revenue expectations accurately.
