Web Scraping Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Web Scraping Specialist who can independently extract data from complex, dynamic websites with minimal supervision. You must be proficient in Python or JavaScript, with strong hands-on experience using libraries and frameworks such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Selenium to overcome technical barriers. A deep understanding of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and distributed scraping architectures is essential for handling large-scale data volumes efficiently. You should possess an intimate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Document Object Model (DOM) to accurately parse and target the right information. Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra is required, as you will design efficient storage solutions and maintain strict data integrity throughout the pipeline. While not mandatory, the ability to apply machine learning algorithms for data cleaning, categorization, or predictive analysis will make you stand out significantly. Additionally, familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is critical for deploying and managing scraping jobs at scale. We particularly value active participation in open-source projects related to web scraping or data processing, as it shows genuine passion and initiative. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will write, test, and refine robust extraction code that reliably pulls data from various online sources. You will handle complex retrieval tasks, including navigating tricky pagination and seamlessly loading dynamic AJAX content. After extraction, you will clean and format the acquired data to meet stringent quality standards for further analysis or processing. On the database side, you will manage the full storage lifecycle, optimizing for both access speed and long-term data integrity. Finally, you will continuously monitor our scraping pipelines, promptly identifying and resolving any technical issues to guarantee an uninterrupted, steady data flow.
