WordPress Developer / Webmaster – Development, Fixes & Ongoing Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced and reliable WordPress Developer / Webmaster who can start immediately and help us with a combination of development work, troubleshooting, website improvements, and ongoing maintenance across our WordPress websites. This is not just a one-time website build. We are looking for someone we can continue working with as new development tasks, fixes, updates, and maintenance requirements come up. Responsibilities The work may include: Troubleshooting and fixing WordPress website issues Custom WordPress development Modifying existing themes and child themes Developing or modifying plugins when necessary WooCommerce development and troubleshooting Fixing frontend and backend bugs Improving mobile and desktop responsiveness Implementing new pages, sections, forms, and website features Working with existing designs and layouts HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP changes Plugin installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Resolving plugin/theme conflicts WordPress and WooCommerce updates Website speed and performance optimization Basic technical SEO fixes Form and email-delivery troubleshooting Fixing broken layouts, links, images, or functionality Website backups, migrations, staging, and deployment Security and general WordPress maintenance Testing changes before deploying them to production Investigating issues and recommending practical solutions Some tasks will be clearly defined development projects, while others may involve diagnosing an issue and determining the best way to fix it. What We Are Looking For You should have strong experience with: WordPress WooCommerce PHP HTML/CSS JavaScript MySQL WordPress themes and child themes WordPress plugin development/customization Responsive design Website debugging Hosting environments, DNS, SSL, backups, and migrations Git/version control is preferred Experience working with existing/custom WordPress websites is especially important. We do not want someone who can only build sites using page builders. Important We are looking for someone who: Can start immediately Is responsive and communicates clearly Can independently troubleshoot problems Does not make unnecessary changes to working parts of a website Takes backups and follows safe development practices Tests work on desktop and mobile Can explain what was changed Can work with an existing codebase instead of rebuilding everything Is comfortable handling both small maintenance requests and larger development tasks Attention to detail is very important. Some of our websites are active business websites, so changes need to be made carefully. Ongoing Work We currently have several WordPress development and maintenance tasks available, and there is potential for ongoing long-term work if the relationship works well.
