Backend Developer | JavaScript + Python | APIs

Looking for a backend developer with strong JavaScript and Python experience for remote contract work. Work may include: - Building and maintaining REST APIs - Backend services, integrations, and data processing - Working with PostgreSQL / MongoDB - Bug fixes and improvements in existing codebases - Tests, documentation, and clean Git workflow Must have: - Strong experience in both JavaScript and Python - Production backend experience (not tutorials only) - API development (Node.js and/or Python frameworks) - Database experience (PostgreSQL preferred) - Git, async remote communication, clear English Nice to have: - Node.js (Express, NestJS, Fastify) - Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) - Redis, Docker, CI/CD - AWS / GCP - Webhook integrations, background jobs, queues
