Backend Developer - Node.js / PostgreSQL

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our development team building a multisided housing platform. You will work closely with our frontend developers and product team to build secure, scalable, and reliable backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL. The role involves database design and data modelling, REST APIs, business logic, authentication and authorization, reporting, third-party integrations, validation, security, and performance optimization. We need someone who can translate evolving business requirements into practical technical solutions, identify risks and edge cases, communicate realistic timelines, and deliver production-ready code under tight timelines. Experience with complex platforms, marketplaces, SaaS, fintech, or housing is a plus.
