Freelance Full-Stack Engineer — Paid

SimpliNests is a vacation rental marketplace starting with 8 real cabins in the Smoky Mountains (Sevierville / Sevier County, TN), aiming nationwide. A working prototype exists; it takes no real payments and its test-only login is to be replaced, not polished. Paid trial only — production login and security, capped in advance and agreed in writing before work starts. Deliverables: (1) short prototype/code review, (2) written login approach, (3) working real sign-up/login slice with email verification, hashed passwords, real-email reset and expiring sessions, (4) server-side Guest/Host/Admin role checks demonstrated with two test hosts and two test guests, (5) basic hardening (HTTPS, secure cookies, login limiting, injection/XSS/CSRF protection), (6) handover note. Not in this trial: Stripe/payments, ID vendor, damage protection, tax filing, calendar sync, real data/money, or going live. To apply, send: your approach to server-side authorization in a few sentences; one or two examples of secure login / marketplace or booking work; how you would approach the six deliverables; a separate fixed fee for the trial, your hourly rate after the trial, and availability to start. No price is suggested by us — the fee comes from you. Milestones: (1) code review + written login approach, (2) working login slice + role checks + hardening + handover note. Release each milestone only after it passes the acceptance tests in the brief. Full trial brief and Login and Security Scope will be sent to shortlisted candidates.
