Full-Stack / Geospatial Developer – Build a Digital MRV Platform (Maps, Dashboards, API)

Acre Insights is a geospatial intelligence company working with nature-based carbon projects across Africa. We already collect and process drone, field and spatial monitoring data (biomass, carbon stock, canopy metrics, and more) for our project partners. What we need now is the digital layer: a working web platform that organizes this data, puts it on interactive maps, and makes project and monitoring results explorable and exportable. This is not a prototype or a mock-up. We need a functional, production-ready MVP that can be demonstrated on real data from our first two projects, EcoPlanet (a bamboo restoration project) and Tungamiti (a smallholder farmer carbon project), each with a different monitoring structure. The platform needs to be configurable to support both, and future clients, without a hard-coded rebuild each time. What you'll build: Multi-project platform: portfolio dashboard plus a workspace per project Interactive mapping: multiple raster (GeoTIFF/COG) and vector (GeoJSON/GeoPackage/Shapefile) layers, with layer controls, legends, opacity, zoom and click-to-identify Monitoring-unit drill-downs: project → PSP → plot (EcoPlanet) and project → farmer → farm/plot (Tungamiti) A real spatial database (PostgreSQL/PostGIS or equivalent), not files in folders Admin-driven data ingestion: our team can add a new project and upload/register datasets without a developer involved Data tables with filter, sort, search, pagination and export Dashboards and metrics from data we've already processed Reports and exports (CSV, GeoJSON, PDF) with basic provenance info A documented REST API covering projects, datasets, layers, monitoring units, metrics and reports We'll share a UI concept for direction, but you're expected to improve on it, not copy it literally. Timeline: roughly 8 to 11 weeks end to end. If you already have relevant infrastructure built (e.g. a drone data processing pipeline, or fast raster compression/tiling for web display), we're open to a much faster timeline and want to hear how.
