Mid–Senior Data Engineer

About the Role Dialog Key is hiring a Data Engineer to join a remote engineering team building data pipelines and infrastructure for U.S.-based clients. You'll work closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions. What You'll Do ● Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ● Build data ingestion and transformation workflows ● Write and optimize complex SQL queries ● Develop data processing/automation solutions in Python ● Build and maintain data models ● Integrate data from APIs, databases, files, and third-party platforms ● Work with cloud data warehouses and modern data platforms ● Process structured/semi-structured data (JSON, CSV, Parquet) ● Monitor production pipelines and troubleshoot failures ● Identify and resolve data quality issues ● Join architecture discussions and technical decisions ● Communicate directly with U.S.-based engineering teams and clients What You'll Need ● 4–6 years of professional Data Engineering experience (or closely related) ● Strong SQL and Python ● Hands-on experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines ● Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server ● Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery ● Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP ● Experience integrating REST APIs, databases, files, third-party systems ● Understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts ● Familiarity with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar orchestration tools ● dbt experience is a plus ● Git and CI/CD familiarity ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ● Comfortable working independently and owning your work ● C1/C2 spoken English — mandatory
