Hi, I’m looking for a Unity developer to take a high-quality existing Unity game template and turn it into a complete, polished, commercial mobile game ready for publishing. We have not purchased the template yet. We will purchase the template separately and provide you with the Unity project/source files. The template we are currently considering is: Block Jam | Template + Editor by Watermelon Games The idea is to use this template as the core gameplay foundation, then completely customize and develop it into our own branded game. I want to make it clear that I am NOT looking for a simple reskin. I want a complete commercial game with professional UI/UX, progression, monetization, events and competition features built on top of the existing template. The final game should feel like a polished, commercially released mobile game rather than a basic template reskin. 1. Template & Initial Setup We will purchase the Unity template and provide the complete project to you. You will be responsible for: * Reviewing the complete Unity project * Checking the Unity version and project structure * Understanding the existing systems * Making sure everything is stable and compatible * Setting up the project for our new game * Replacing/customizing the existing branding and content We want to keep the strong existing Block Jam gameplay systems where appropriate and build our own game experience around them. 2. Complete Reskin & Branding We want a complete visual transformation of the template. This includes: * New game name * New logo * New app icon * New package name * New UI design * New menus * New buttons * New backgrounds * New game board visuals where needed * New block/character designs where applicable * New animations where needed * New sounds * New music * New visual effects * New store visuals * New loading screen * New popups * New overall visual identity The final game should have a consistent, premium visual style. 3. Professional Main Lobby The existing game should be developed into a proper main lobby/home experience. The lobby should include, where appropriate: * Play button * Player profile * Coins/currency * Lives/energy * Daily rewards * Missions/tasks * Store * Settings * Events * Challenges * Notifications/banners The lobby should look and feel like a modern commercial mobile puzzle game. 4. Progression System We want a polished progression experience including: * Level map * Level progression * Increasing difficulty * Stars * Level rewards * Coins/rewards * Unlockable content * Player progression * Daily/weekly objectives The existing Level Editor is important to us. After delivery, we want to be able to continue creating and adding new levels ourselves. 5. Events & Challenges We want to add a flexible but relatively simple Events/Challenges system. The game should be able to support: * Daily challenges * Weekly challenges * Limited-time events * Special challenges * Score-based competitions * Tournaments * Different event rewards * Countdown timers The important part is that the system should be designed so we can create or change events and rewards later without rebuilding the entire game. We are NOT looking for real-time 1v1 multiplayer at this stage. The competition should primarily be based on player scores and rankings. 6. Leaderboards We want a reliable but relatively simple leaderboard system. For example: * Global/high-score leaderboard * Weekly leaderboard * Event/challenge leaderboard * Player rankings * Player scores * Rewards for top players We do not need complicated real-time multiplayer rooms or 1v1 gameplay. 7. Rewards & Game Economy We want a proper in-game economy including: * Coins * Lives * Power-ups * Daily rewards * Level rewards * Event rewards * Challenge rewards * Tournament rewards * Rewarded ads * Balanced progression The economy should be structured properly so we can adjust rewards, prices and progression later. 8. Power-Ups We want to keep the existing power-up functionality where appropriate and make sure it is properly integrated into the overall game economy. Power-ups should work with: * Gameplay * Rewards * Store * Coins * IAP * Rewarded ads 9. Store We want a proper in-game store including, where appropriate: * Coins * Power-ups * Lives * Skins/customization * Remove Ads * IAP products Purchases must support proper purchase validation and restore functionality. 10. Monetization We want full monetization integration: * Google AdMob * Interstitial ads * Rewarded video ads * Banner ads where appropriate * In-app purchases * Remove Ads All monetization services must be connected to accounts owned by us. We will create and own our own: * Firebase account/project * AdMob account * Google Play Console account * Apple Developer/App Store account * IAP products/accounts You will only receive the access/permissions required to configure and develop the game. 11. Backend / Online Systems For features such as: * Leaderboards * Events * Challenges * Player data * Scores * Rewards * Rankings Please recommend the most suitable backend solution. We want something reliable and scalable. However, we do NOT need an unnecessarily complicated multiplayer backend because there will be no real-time 1v1 multiplayer in the initial version. Please explain what backend you recommend and why, as well as any expected ongoing costs. 12. UI/UX & Polish This is extremely important. We don’t want the final result to feel like a cheap template reskin. We want: * Professional UI/UX * Modern lobby * Smooth animations * Transitions * Popups * Reward animations * Good button interactions * Haptic feedback * Smooth gameplay * Good sound effects * Polished game feel * Consistent visual language * Proper loading states * Error handling * Professional menus The overall quality should be suitable for a serious commercial mobile game. 13. Content Expansion The final project should be structured so we can continue expanding the game. We want the ability to add: * New levels * New worlds/themes * New skins * New challenges * New events * New rewards * New mechanics/obstacles where technically possible We also want the Level Editor to remain fully functional. 14. Analytics Please integrate analytics so we can understand player behavior and game performance. We expect to use our own Firebase/analytics account. We want to be able to track important events such as: * Game starts * Level starts * Level completions * Level failures * Rewards * Ad views * Rewarded ads * IAP purchases * Retention/progression events * Event participation Please let us know what analytics setup you recommend. 15. Optimization & Testing The final game needs to be properly optimized for mobile. This includes: * Android optimization * iOS optimization * Performance optimization * Memory optimization * Loading optimization * Bug fixing * Device testing * Ad testing * IAP testing * Backend testing * General QA We want a stable release candidate, not just a development build. 16. Store-Ready Delivery The final delivery must include: * Complete Unity project * Complete source code * All modified assets/files * Final Android AAB * Android build configuration * iOS build configuration * Store-ready project settings * App icon * Splash/loading assets * Package/bundle configuration * Final testing and bug fixing We want to be able to take the final project and publish it under our own developer accounts. 17. Ownership & Commercial Rights The project must remain under our ownership. We need: * Complete Unity source project * Full source code * All custom work delivered to us * No revenue share * No royalties * No developer lock-in * Ability to modify the game later * Ability to update the game later * Ability to reskin it later * Ability to hire another developer later All third-party assets/templates will be properly licensed and used according to their licenses. 18. Development Structure We want the project organized cleanly and professionally. The code and project structure should be understandable enough that another Unity developer can take over the project in the future. Please avoid unnecessary hard-coded systems where possible and make important values/configurations easy to modify. 19. What I Need From You Before starting, please review the entire scope above and tell me: 1. Which features are already included in the Block Jam template? 2. Which features can you implement directly? 3. Which features require additional programming? 4. Which features require a backend? 5. What backend would you recommend? 6. What additional services or paid tools will be required? 7. What is your total development cost? 8. What is the estimated development timeline? 9. What exactly will be included in your final delivery? 10. Are there any technical limitations or risks you see with this approach? I am specifically looking for a developer who can take the purchased Unity template from the initial project files all the way to a polished, store-ready commercial game. Please provide your proposal based on the complete scope above rather than quoting only for a basic reskin. Ahmad
