Senior Voice AI & Automation Integration Expert VAPI | Make.com | AWS | Prompt Engineering

We build and deploy voice-first AI agents for businesses. Our stack is VAPI, Make.com, and AWS - with custom Python and JavaScript functions handling specific agent logic. We need a senior integration specialist to join us on an ongoing basis. This is not a one-off project. What you will be doing: _ Writing and iterating VAPI system prompts - routing logic, tool call instructions, fallback handling, escalation paths _ Building and maintaining Make.com automation scenarios that support live voice agent workflows _ Integrating VAPI agents with external systems via webhooks, APIs, and custom functions _ Working alongside our Python and JavaScript functions hosted on AWS _ Debugging integration issues quickly and cleanly You are the right fit if: _ You have built and deployed VAPI agents in real production environments - not just tutorials _ Prompt engineering inside VAPI is something you do well - you understand how the system prompt governs agent behaviour and you can write prompts that are structured, testable, and stable under real call conditions _ You are strong with Make.com - complex scenarios, error handling, data transformation _ You are comfortable with AWS - Lambda, API Gateway, or similar _ You can read Python and JavaScript well enough to collaborate with existing functions _ You troubleshoot methodically and document what you fix * Engagement: Ongoing / Part-time to start, scope to grow * Stack: VAPI, Make.com, AWS, Python, JavaScript * Communication: Async-first Applications without specific VAPI and prompt engineering detail will not be reviewed.
