WordPress & Laravel Developer Needed to Help Lead Engineer We are looking for an experienced WordPress & Laravel developer who speaks and communicates clearly in English to work directly with our lead engineer. Immediate Priority: WordPress Our current platform is already substantially built in WordPress and is approaching launch. We need someone who can jump into the existing project, work alongside our lead engineer, troubleshoot problems, and help complete final implementation and launch tasks. This is not a build-from-scratch project. Near-Future Priority: Laravel We expect to transition our platform from WordPress to Laravel in the near future. For that reason, we strongly prefer a developer who is experienced with both WordPress and Laravel and may be interested in continuing to work with us after our immediate launch. What We Need Strong WordPress development experience Strong Laravel/PHP development experience Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Frontend and backend development experience Experience working with existing websites and code Ability to work collaboratively with our lead engineer Ability to test and fix pages, menus, links, forms, mobile responsiveness, and user flows Ability to understand existing code before changing or rebuilding it Clear spoken and written English Available to start immediately About the Project We are preparing to launch 24/7 Empowerment, a nonprofit social platform. Most of the current development and redesign work has already been completed. We are now finishing implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and launch preparation. You will be supporting our lead engineer — not replacing him. Our immediate goal is to successfully launch the existing WordPress platform. Our longer-term goal is to transition the platform to Laravel. This could therefore become an ongoing development opportunity for the right person.
