WordPress WooCommerce Security & Speed Engineer

We need a freelancer to improve the security, performance, and automation of our WordPress WooCommerce website. The work includes reviewing current setup, identifying vulnerabilities, implementing fixes, optimizing site speed, and setting up automated processes for ongoing maintenance. You should be able to recommend practical improvements, execute reliable changes, and help keep the site secure and fast over time. Experience with WooCommerce and WordPress is important, along with a strong understanding of website security and performance best practices. What you will do (daily/weekly): Security hardening & monitoring — Find how hackers get in, clean malware, and make sure they never come back. Harden Nginx, file permissions, WordPress config. Speed optimization — Fix slow MySQL queries, bloated wp_options, set up Redis/Nginx caching, configure CDN rules. Automation scripts — Write Python or Bash scripts that run daily via cron: File integrity scan (detect new/modified files automatically) Daily backup to cloud storage DDoS / suspicious IP auto-ban Slow query / uptime alerts sent to Telegram General WordPress maintenance — Fix broken features, update plugins safely, troubleshoot WooCommerce issues. Required skills (must have): Linux server administration (Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS) Nginx configuration (caching, rate limiting, WAF rules, blocking PHP execution in uploads) WordPress security hardening (not just "install Wordfence") MySQL / MariaDB optimization and cleanup Python or Bash scripting for automation Git (for tracking code changes) Nice to have (bonus): Docker Cloudflare advanced rules Prefer PHP+API+CSS+JS Redis / Memcached setup Telegram Bot API (for alert notifications)
