AI Agent / Integration Developer — Connect Our Business Systems (Long-Term)

About us We are a California specialty construction company (waterproofing) running a modern SaaS stack. We are building an AI-agent and automation layer to connect our tools and streamline operations. We are looking for a skilled developer to architect and build it, with ongoing maintenance and expansion work after launch — including a second business venture where the same skills will be needed. The systems to connect Knowify, HubSpot, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365 (OneDrive / Outlook), CompanyCam, Notion, and Google Drive — glued via Zapier and/or custom code where needed. What you’ll build • AI agents and automated workflows that move data and trigger actions across these platforms. • Custom API integrations where native connectors fall short. • Well-documented, maintainable systems we could hand to another developer if needed. What we’re NOT looking for We already have native integrations moving data between some of these tools (for example CompanyCam → Knowify, and our phone system → HubSpot). We do not need those rebuilt. What we ARE looking for AI agents that push and pull data across these systems on custom logic and triggers — reading from one, deciding based on rules or conditions, and acting on another. Cross-system workflows the native connectors do not provide. This requires real API work and agent design, not just no-code connectors. How we work (important) • You build against your own sandbox / developer accounts and dummy data. • You deliver importable blueprints or code packages; we connect our live accounts ourselves. • We screen-share together to test against real data and iron out quirks. • You never need our live account passwords to build. Must have • Strong portfolio: multi-step automations and custom API integrations (Make, n8n, Zapier, and/or Python). • Real experience with business SaaS APIs (HubSpot, QuickBooks, or similar). • Ability to write agents that take actions safely, with human approval on anything irreversible. • Clear written English and strong documentation habits. • A security-first approach to credential handling — tell us how you work.
