AI Automation Engineer (N8 Workflow Developer)

We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer with strong expertise in n8n to build a production-ready workflow that automates customer support and lead qualification using AI. Project Overview The goal is to develop an end-to-end automation workflow in n8n that receives inbound leads from multiple sources, processes them using an LLM, classifies intent, stores structured data, and triggers follow-up actions across multiple platforms. This is a highly technical implementation. We are looking for someone who understands workflow architecture, API integrations, AI prompting, error handling, and scalable automation design. Scope of Work You will build an n8n workflow that: Capture leads from Webhook, Gmail, or Google Forms Extract and normalize lead information Send data to OpenAI (or compatible LLM) for: Intent classification Lead qualification Response generation Data extraction Store structured data in Airtable or PostgreSQL Check for duplicate records Route leads based on qualification score Send notifications to Slack Create follow-up tasks in ClickUp or Trello Send personalized email responses automatically Implement retry logic and error workflows Log execution history for monitoring Technical Requirements Must have experience with: n8n (Advanced) OpenAI API REST APIs Webhooks HTTP Request node Function / Code node (JavaScript) JSON transformations OAuth authentication Airtable PostgreSQL or MySQL Gmail API Slack API Error Trigger workflows Queue Mode (preferred) Docker deployment (preferred) Deliverables Fully documented n8n workflow Modular workflow architecture Environment variable configuration Error handling workflow Logging workflow Installation guide API documentation Testing scenarios Nice to Have LangChain experience Pinecone or Qdrant vector databases RAG implementations AI agents MCP integrations Docker Compose Redis Supabase GitHub Actions CI/CD What We're Looking For Strong automation architecture skills Clean and maintainable workflow design Ability to optimize execution performance Experience with complex API integrations Excellent debugging skills Good documentation practices Proposal Requirements Please include: AI automation projects you've completed.
